A casino is a place where certain gambling activities take place. Most of the time, casinos are built near or are incorporated with hotels, restaurants, shopping centers and cruise ships. Casinos are also known for their entertainment events, namely, stand-up comedies and concerts. Slot machines and other games such as roulette, baccarat, blackjack and poker are common sights at casinos. Though gambling is banned by state legislation in most parts of America, gambling was legalized throughout the state of Nevada and Las Vegas. Nicknamed the "Sin City", it housed America's first official casinos. Now the 30 billion dollar industry is prevalent in the states of New Jersey and Atlantic City. Games usually incorporate a mathematical formula to ensure a house edge over player. The commission that the casino receives when players win is known as the rake. In addendum, it is also common for casinos to give out freebies branded as comps to players. Security is tight at casinos. Other than their strict age limits, casinos also has a physical security team and a specialized surveillance department to prevent cheating and misconduct by players and employees.

Let me talk about that suited blue poker table cloth, it could indeed alter the looks of one's cardroom or game room, and why so? First, the definitive suited style which would fit almost all kinds of tables, regrdless of size. This could be placed on a club's table, or just a house table. This poker table cloth is set (the price) by yard, and if you compare prices with the other brands, you may conclude that it is quite expensive. That of course is logical and not shocking, the quality of the fabric makes it so. Material of this poker table cloth is sventy percent polyester, and thirty percent olefin, this mix results to that glowing look. If you would go for a deeper look at the felt, you would notice the elaborate diamond style on the felt, and this sets it apart from the conventional felts of ordinary tables.

If you're an active poker player, you've probably been to a poker theme party, or even hosted one yourself. Poker parties aren't hard to organize - you just need to gather a few friends, keep them well fed, and set a fun, casual mood. Here are a few tips to help you arrange a good poker party. First, make sure it's legal to play poker with real money. Some states don't allow real money bets. If that's the case, you'll have to use poker chips instead. Next, get all the supplies ready - a deck of cards, a table, some food, and drinks. Stick to light finger foods and make sure to keep the alcohol in moderation. Decorations are optional, but a few add-ons can go a long way. Try hanging up cards or streamers to set a festive mood. If you can spare a few dollars, get some lighted dice and hang them around the room.

What are the traits of a good table (poker) to be used in tourneys or home games?
First, it should be comfortable to all and sundry, there should be ample space for the hardware- and second, the table felt should be of nylon. The table felt should not be too slippery either, there is nothing more irritating than a game where every other dealing is a misdeal because cards keep on falling to the floor. (I've seen this happen, it was an embarrassing event for the host). Third, the felt's colors is also crucial, remember, if your felt's color is blue and the bulk of your chips are blue, your guests with eyesight problems might have a hard time seeing some chips. Another, the color of the layout: choose a dark shade, not too dark, just enough that it would not get dirty after the first time of usage. There, now and get your own table (poker), and goodluck.

I do not really think that there is a singular best poker room in Las Vegas, but if I come up with a list of the top 5, and compare it with yours, chances are: Mirage Casino would crop up. I do not really think that there is a singular best poker room in Las Vegas, but if I come up with a list of the top 5, and compare it with yours, chances are: Mirage Casino would crop up. One criterion I have to name something as the best poker room in Las Vegas is if : the guest would still be entertained even if he/she is not gambling. Mirage has a lounge with their show "Beatles Revolution Lounge", and the theme if - well, the name says it. Gambling or not, it is a nightclub experience worth trying out. For those who could not care less about music, but only care about gambling, then this best poker room in Las Vegas has everything you can possibly think of, with very few exceptions. It has blackjack, PaiGow, craps, and poker of course. There is even a facility in this best poker room in Las Vegas. Believe it or not, 80% of the time, I lose in my gambling sessions here, but I keep on coming back. That should tell you something about its allure. Within the establishment, if eating is your thing, then try out any of the high-class restaurants, Japonais being one of them, if sushi is your passion.

I'll establish this right here and now, this is not an article that I wrote with the objective of persuading you to give up landbased gambling and go to the online genre, or vice-versa. I would simply talk, and let you judge on your own. Here is a scenario, you travelled hundreds of miles for an important Holdem tournament, first, the hotel you had did not turn out the way you wanted it. Second, the car that the agency gave you broke down in the middle of nowhere. Third, after half an hour of waiting for a cab, you finally got one, only to find that the driver could only understand two words in the English language- 'F^&k You'. So, you finally arrived at the hall housing the Texas Holdem Poker rooms, only to find out that out of frustration, you left the wallet at the back seat. If you think this would never happen, think again, it happened to me. (The only difference is that I was the one with the language problem, it was somewhere in Germany, the driver did not speak English, and my German was not even passable). So, end of story, almost, if you hate this kind of experience, go online. The Texas Holdem poker rooms do have the downside, I'll just give one. Where are the free drinks...no more right? You'd have to bring your Coors to the computer table.

We have so many reasons, first- the typical online casino offers almost all the kinds of poker. Second reason, the chance of getting big monies via slots or roulette or poker is always there. Third, if you aim to make many new friends, this is more conducive than staying and bumming around at the park. Of course, there is that kind of poker not usually done at the landbased arena, and that's the naked strip poker. This indeed is a memorable and interesting kind of game, and when I say interesting, it's not just because you get to 'persuade' the opposite sex to shed off his/her clothes in front of you. Naked strip poker is one of the hottest things being offered at cyberspace. If you have never been to a strip poker game at any online room, you may be wondering what kind of ladies are employed to serve as opponents in the game. Well, here is one I've played with just very recently, and while I will tell you the truth about her, I will not name her. This lady just finished high school, and she plans on becoming a model, and wow, this is one brave lady. She would keep on playing even if she would lose that most precious underwear.

There are various kinds of video poker games, but do you really know how to play them? Good thing you chanced through this bit of information. That's because I'll be giving you some background information about video poker games. Usually, video poker games are based on a poker variant called five card stud poker. I'm not sure, but I think video poker's already captured other poker variants, too. Only, I think non-community card games, specifically stud games, are still the best option for video poker games. Why? Because you don't really need to have opponents when it comes to stud games unlike in community card games wherein you'll need to get others' decisions so that you can determine if you win. In a stud game, you just have to check if you get the best choice among a five card combination that'll be presented to you, and that's it. So, how to play video poker games? Here's how to play the typical one: you get three basic buttons--cash out, draw, and hold. Draw often has double purpose--you also press it if you deal. First, you draw out the cards that you think are the best. Next, you hold those you want to carry on. Then, deal. If you're through gaming, push on cash out so you would get the fruits of your efforts.
