Mohegan Sun Casino

The world's second largest casino along the banks of the Thames River, Mohegan Sun is located in Connecticut. Operated wholly by the Mohegan tribe, the casino first opened its doors in 1996.It is made up of 3 casinos; namely the Casino of the Wind, Casino of the Sky and Casino of the Earth. Casino of the Wind is its newest addition, opened in august 2008. Its 35-foot high electronic and animated water wall is one of the latest tourist attractions it contains.
The Casino of the Sky features the world's largest fully functional indoor planetarium dome.
Together, the Mohegan Sun features some 6,200 slot machines, 300 gaming tables including the likes of poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, Caribbean stud poker, keno and baccarat. It also has a race book which offers live horse or greyhound racing from around the U.S., Australia and England. In addendum to these, it also offers wagering on jai-alia from Florida.
