
The most important part of poker is the ranking of poker hands as this is where it will determine whether you lose or win. Winning poker hands are based on the highest ranking combination of five cards. A card's rank is based on the value or suits.
There are a total of 9 rankings, Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair and High Card.
The winning poker hands are ranked from top to bottom
Royal Flush - 5 cards from 10 to Ace in the same suit
Straight Flush - 5 cards with any consecutive ranks but in the same suit
Four of a Kind - Four cards with the same rank (Can be in any suit)
Full House - Three of a kind plus a pair
Flush - Any five cards of the same suit (Can be in any sequence)
Straight - Any five cards in any suits, but in sequence
Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same value (Can be in any suit)
Two Pair - Two separate pairs of cards (Can be in any suit or rank)
One Pair - One pair of cards (Can be in any suit or rank)
High Card - If no players have the winning hands, it is determine by the highest
